Agentic development: How Woven accelerates MLR-ready digital builds

MARIO reduces dev time and strengthens collaboration

Woven MARIO (Multi-Agent Rapid Intelligent Output) is a proprietary agentic process that takes approved design files and delivers production-grade, MLR-ready digital assets in a fraction of the time conventional builds require. Speed is only part of the story. By putting working prototypes in front of clients from the earliest stages of a project, MARIO turns the build itself into a creative and strategic conversation, one where clients shape the work rather than simply approve it.

"Rapid prototyping changes the conversation entirely," said Tim O'Sullivan, EVP, Transformation, Innovation and Product at Woven. "When a client can feel and touch a working version early in the process, they become part of forming the vision. You get to the right answer together, instead of discovering misalignment three rounds into review."

Woven reports three to five times faster delivery on digital builds using MARIO, with net efficiency benefits reaching as high as 61% on qualifying projects. In a recent clinical trial recruitment engagement, Woven used MARIO to build a multi-site, multi-state recruitment platform that was MLR-ready in seven calendar days, and required only a single review cycle. Conventional approaches may have required multiple weeks to produce even a working prototype, pushing meaningful client input to the back end of the process.

MARIO runs design, code, copy, and regulatory alignment in parallel against a single production codebase. Every revision, every MLR pass, and every IRB cycle runs through the same loop, eliminating the drift between what was approved at the design stage and what arrives in review. That shared working artifact is what lets clients and agency teams make better decisions together, earlier.

Woven has been very intentional about keeping MARIO future-proof.
"MARIO is not tethered to any single AI technology, and that is deliberate," said Bart Zoni, Chief Digital, AI, and Technology Officer. "Agencies have made costly mistakes by building deep around one model or one vendor stack. Technology is moving too fast for that. MARIO is portable, so the value grows as technology evolves."

For Woven, that portability is an expression of a broader belief: that AI should strengthen client relationships and the creative process, not just accelerate the output.
