Woven Health Collective is offering a fully remote, one-year Medical Communications Postdoctoral Fellowship starting July 2026. Fellows will gain exposure to various therapeutic areas and treatments throughout many phases of development.
Fellowship Program Overview
The program also offers additional leadership, networking, and professional development opportunities through partnership with the Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO).

Fellowship Program Goals and Opportunities
- Develop a foundation for a career in medical communications through training and exposure to various aspects of the industry
- Learn how to work in a team-based environment and consistently deliver projects on deadline and within budget
- Work closely with medical writers, editors, graphic designers, scientific managers, and meeting planners and interact with clients at meetings
- Utilize library services and medical librarians to research subject matter of importance for our clients and their products
- Participate in International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) events
- Gain exposure to networking and professional development opportunities through IPhO
- Develop a foundation for a career in medical communications through training and exposure to various aspects of the industry

Benefits and Additional OpportunitiesThe fellow will receive a competitive stipend and benefits package, including:
- Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance package
- 5 days of vacation
- At least 9 paid holidays during the year, 5 sick days, and 1 floating holiday
Upon successful completion of the fellowship program, Woven Health Collective will award the fellow a professional certificate.

Fellowship Director
Jonathan Mitchell, PharmD, CMPP™
Senior Medical Writer
Jonathan works on scientific abstracts, posters, and manuscripts, educational slide decks, publications planning, key opinion leader searches, advisory boards, and executive summaries. Jonathan received his PharmD from the University of Findlay College of Pharmacy in Findlay, OH, where he performed research in biology and medicinal chemistry. Following this, he completed a 1-year postdoctoral medical communications fellowship with MedVal/PharmaWrite (now known as Woven Health Collective) and served as Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the University of the Sciences College of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA. During his time as an instructor, he led journal club discussions and guided students during scientific literature searches.
Current Fellow
Tanmaya Phanda, PharmD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Tanmaya focuses on building his medical writing and publication planning skills across various therapeutic areas. In addition, Tanmaya is a part of the National Fellow Council (NFC) with IPhO as a Co-Lead of the Annual Meeting Committee. In this role, he will assist organizing the IPhO Annual Meeting 2025 in September so that industry fellows can share insights for upcoming students and fellowship candidates. Tanmaya earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Rutgers University, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, in New Jersey. Following graduation, Tanmaya worked as a medical writer for the brand development team at InpharmD. During his time at InpharmD, he created landmark trial summaries and graphical infographics for the company’s website and social media platforms.
Jeff Stumpf, PhD, CMPP™
Executive Vice President
Jeff leads day-to-day operations, oversees all account teams, and strategizes company growth. He holds a PhD in Genetics from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. With extensive experience in medical communications, Jeff has successfully led teams in developing a wide range of deliverables, including publication plans, scientific platforms, literature analyses, abstracts, manuscripts, posters, systematic reviews, consensus documents, slide presentations, infographic brochures, video abstracts, and white papers. His expertise spans various therapeutic areas, such as HIV, breast cancer, rare diseases, ophthalmology, osteoporosis, oncology/bone metastases, and inflammatory, pituitary, and metabolic diseases.
