Woven Health Collective offers a fully remote, 1-year Medical Communications and Publications Postdoctoral Fellowship starting July 2027. Fellows will gain exposure to various therapeutic areas and treatments throughout many phases of development.

Fellowship Program Overview

The program also offers additional leadership, networking, and professional development opportunities through partnership with the Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO).

Fellowship Program Goals and Opportunities
- Develop a foundation for a career in medical communications through training and exposure to various aspects of the industry
- Learn how to work in a team-based environment and consistently deliver projects on deadline and within budget
- Work closely with medical writers, editors, graphic designers, scientific managers, and meeting planners and interact with clients at meetings
- Utilize library services and medical librarians to research subject matter of importance for our clients and their products
- Participate in International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) events
- Gain exposure to networking and professional development opportunities through IPhO
Benefits and Additional Opportunities
The fellow will receive a competitive stipend and benefits package, including:
- Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance package
- 5 days of vacation
- At least 9 paid holidays during the year, 5 sick days, and 1 floating holiday
Upon successful completion of the fellowship program, Woven Health Collective will award the fellow a professional certificate.

Fellowship Director

Jonathan Mitchell, PharmD, CMPP™

Senior Medical Writer

Jonathan works on scientific abstracts, posters, and manuscripts, educational slide decks, publications planning, key opinion leader searches, advisory boards, and executive summaries. Jonathan received his PharmD from the University of Findlay College of Pharmacy in Findlay, OH, where he performed research in biology and medicinal chemistry. Following this, he completed a 1-year postdoctoral medical communications fellowship with MedVal/PharmaWrite (now known as Woven Health Collective) and served as Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the University of the Sciences College of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA. During his time as an instructor, he led journal club discussions and guided students during scientific literature searches.

Tanmaya Phanda, PharmD

Medical Writer

Dr. Tanmaya Phanda is a Medical Writer at Woven Health Collective, following the completion of his Medical Communications Fellowship in July 2026. Across a wide range of therapeutic areas, he contributes to the development of various scientific communications deliverables, including symposium content, medical education resources, advisory board materials, abstracts, and posters.

Dr. Phanda earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Following graduation, he began his career in medical communications at InpharmD, an AI-driven drug information start-up. In that role, he developed landmark clinical-trial summaries and scientific infographics for the company’s website and social media platforms, translating complex clinical evidence into clear, accessible content for healthcare audiences.

Nabiha Qureshi, PharmD

Postdoctoral Fellow

Nabiha focuses on growing her skills in medical writing and publications, and expanding her communications experience in various therapeutic areas. Nabiha serves in the IPhO National Fellows Council (NFC) as a Co-Lead of the Professional Programming Committee, where she engages with industry professionals to provide insightful career development programs for postdoctoral fellows. Nabiha earned her Doctor of Pharmacy with Highest Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Prior to graduation, Nabiha was an intern with the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists, where she developed resources for pharmacy advocacy and recruitment campaigns.
